Ingredients
-1 cup ketchup
-1/3 cup peeled, grated apple
-1/4 cup apple juice
-1/4 cup soy sauce
-1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
-1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
-1/4 cup grated onion
-2 tsps grated bell pepper
-1 tsp garlic powder
-1 tsp white pepper

According to Derrick, "This sauce is good with any meat or chicken that benefits from a fruity flavour component, such as pork ribs, pork loin, chicken, turkey, and even lamb."
Makes 36 servings
Method
1) Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
2) Reduce heat to low and let simmer 15 minutes. Make sure to keep an eye on the sauce so that it does not burn.
3) Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool for 10 minutes before using.
Top Tip:
The sauce can be stored in a plastic container or glass jar in the refrigerator for up to one week after preparation.
