Rum & Honey Apple Smash

Ingredients

  • 50ml Highbank Orchard Irish Organic Apple Rum
  • 25ml Highbank Orchards apple juice (cloudy works best)
  • 20ml honey syrup (1:1 honey to water)
  • 15ml fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh mint leaves

Method

Cheers to the beautiful weather with a refreshing Highbank Orchard Apple Rum & Honey Smash created using some of our bestsellers.

1. Make the honey syrup: Mix equal parts Highbank honey and hot water until the honey is dissolved. Let it cool.

2. Muddle the mint: In a shaker, lightly muddle a few mint leaves with the honey syrup to release the flavour (don’t overdo it!).

3. Add the liquids: Pour in the apple rum, apple juice and lemon juice.

4. Shake: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until chilled.

5. Strain and serve: Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with ice.

6. Garnish: Add an apple slice or mint sprig on top for some pizzazz and enjoy!
